Tithing is a biblical standard of giving that requires at least 10% of the first fruits of our labor, while doing so with a joyous heart. The act of spiritual giving allows us to be obedient to the word of God as it is written, to which an overflow of blessings awaits each and every one of us. (Numbers 18:21-32, Deuteronomy 14:22-29, Malachi 3:10, Genesis 28:22, Proverbs 3:9-10, I Corinthians 16:21-31, II Corinthians 9:6-8)

In comparison, an offering is a spiritually led contribution beyond a tithe (10%). The inclusion of an offering could help enhance and expand our ministries, while creating and sustaining outreach programs for our church members and our surrounding communities. This will allow The Christian Church of Chester to build a strong and Godly connection with our family, friends, and neighbors in need of a blessing (or a breakthrough)
